What is BAMBOO?
Bamboos are a diversified collection of evergreen perennial flowering plants belonging to the Bambusoideae subfamily of the Poaceae grass family. The grass family’s largest members are giant bamboos. The word “bamboo” is unknown, but it is thought to have originated in the Dutch or Portuguese languages, which adopted it from Malay or Kannada.
The internodal areas of the stem of bamboo, like other grasses, are frequently hollow, and the vascular bundles in the cross-section are distributed throughout the stem rather than in a cylindrical form. Also missing is the dicotyledonous woody xylem. Monocot stems, such as palms and giant bamboos, are columnar rather than tapering due to the lack of secondary growth wood.

Green India Mission
The National Action Plan on Climate Change includes several missions, including the Green India project (NAPCC). Every country has a responsibility to halt climate changes downward spiral. As a result, India, as a responsible and developing global power, took on the task of mitigating the negative consequences of climate change by initiating various missions under the NAPCC.
The Green India Mission was launched in 2014. The main goal is to preserve, restore, and improve India’s dwindling forest cover.
Green Bamboo
Bamboo is known as the wise man’s wood. Bamboo is the largest grass in the globe. From the coasts of the South Pacific islands to the Himalayan foothills, native species can be found on all continents (excluding Antarctica).Within the first 12 months of its existence, bamboo normally reaches its full height and width. Its cell walls will continue to thicken and strengthen over the next few years until it achieves peak maturity, which normally occurs between 5 and 7 years.
